The Dearborn Figure Skating club is proud to host the 3rd Annual Chuck Cope Memorial Synchronized Skating Competition. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure Skating, as set forth in the current rulebook, and/or current Compete USA handbook as well as any pertinent updates that have been posted on the U.S. Figure Skating website.

Chuck Cope
His love of the sport came second only to the love of his family. His devotion to his wife and his daughters, was nothing short of beautiful and inspiring. His dedication, support and encouragement to our club, skaters, the Crystallettes and all skaters he judged, has touched all of our hearts and his absence will forever leave a painful scar, only to be comforted by our memories.
He would be the friendly face skaters could look to on a test panel, instilling confidence in the skaters, especially if it was their first time taking a test. He’d even take a picture with them afterwards for their keepsake, always time for the kids. He’d spend hours at Crystallettes' practices critiquing with our coaches. He served as the voice of fairness on the BOD for many years.
Aristotle wrote “What is the essence of life? To serve others and to do good.” Although these words were written over 2300 years ago, we can’t help but feel they were written about Chuck. If you knew him, we are sure you agree, he lived this life. We love you and will miss you, Chuck.
